They usually work with View-Masters from decades ago, but we cannot guarantee it, because we can't test the reel with your very specific viewer. HOW MANY PICTURES CAN I SEND? Each reel consists of 7 different images. If you send normal photos (2D) they will doubled within the production process, so each eye gets its own image (therefore the 14 "holes"). If you have real 3-D images send your 14 L/R images or your 7 MPO files. 3D images are taken with special cameras. They take two images from the same scene but with a different angle which is the distance between our eyes. Theoretically one can convert 2D images to 3D but depending on the scene it costs hundreds. If you don't have 3D images (most of our customers don't have 3D images) then 2D images are fine, most people don't even recognise it as it's just stunning. IN WHAT FORMAT THEY SHOULD BE? In general: All images will work. No matter if grainy night shots taken with a mobile, high-quality scenery photos, scanned drawings, Photoshop artwork, More in detail: The native View-Master aspect ratio is ca 12:11 in landscape format. So panorama (i.e. 16:9 format) or upright images don't fit very well, but can be processed without any problem. Unused space will kept black. The technical aspect: Your images should be in JPEG, PNG, HEIC or MPO format. Optimal resolution is 1400x1250 pixels. If your images have more or less, don't worry, more is fine of course, and less as well: even photos with around 600 pixels look stunning! Apart from the rounded corners nothing will be cropped or hidden. WILL THE IMAGES APPEAR IN THE RIGHT ORDER IN THE REEL? The images will processed in their alphabetical order. Example: Carl.jpg Anne.jpg Bill.jpg will be in this order: Anne.jpg Bill.jpg Carl.jpg To be on the safe side, just name your images 1 - 7. WHAT ABOUT THE IMAGE QUALITY? Is it good enough for Yes it is. We use some of the world's sharpest film recorders. You can expect fine details, clearly readable text, exact colour reproduction. WHAT ABOUT THE VIEWER? We are very happy to have found a source of high-quality viewers. Despite the horrible "Stereo-Vision" viewers (we sold them for a short time but stopped it because of the low quality) we sell these US-designed new viewers. These are the only focusing ones available, making it possible to adjust the sharpness individually.
