The Two Layer Nylon Shell is rated 30K, which means it can keep you dry in heavy rain for a much longer time, when lower ratings would get saturated.
The SpeedVent Hood lets the air flow when you're running the boat at high speeds with your hood on, which reduces the neck strain that you'd get when traditional hoods act like parachutes and stress your neck.
