Cardboard Boat Project

A number of edu-care children in  Key Stage 2 have been taking part in a project to build a boat out of cardboard.  This project is part of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) and enabled the children to develop science skills as well as engage in some challenging engineering.  The children were introduced to boat construction where they used DT skills to follow a plan to cut out the boat accurately.  They followed instructions (rather like a large flatpack) to fold the boat and gl
